The Board of Directors of the Commerce City Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce they have selected Rene’ Bullock as the Chamber’s first Executive Director.
Rene’ has served on the board for the past three years, including serving as president for two of those years.
He is a 34-year resident of Commerce City and served on city council for 16 years, six years as a council member and 10 years as Mayor Pro Tem.
Rene’ retired from United Airlines in 2005 after 37 years. He spent over a decade as the community co-chair for the Rocky Mountain Arsenal Restoration Advisory Board. He is also a founding member of the Sand Creek Regional Greenway Board and currently serves as its secretary. He is also a co-founder of the Commerce City Historical Society.
He is the immediate past President of the Commerce City Rotary and is now the Assistant District Governor of Area 11 for District 5450.
Rene’ currently serves as president for the Friends of the Front Range Wildlife Refuges, is a member of Live Well’s HEAL Advisory Committee, Commerce City Housing Authority and a trustee for his church, Shorter Community AME Church, Denver.
“Rene’ has so much knowledge and passion for our entire city. We are sure to exceed all expectations in the year ahead,” said Chamber President Heather LaCrue.
According to Rene’, his focus is to grow the Chamber and to be a strong voice and advocate for the business community.
“I am proud and honored to be chosen as the first Executive Director for the Commerce City Chamber. I am looking forward to making this be a banner year for the Chamber,” he said.”I am looking forward to engaging and networking with as many businesses as possible in the Commerce City business community, and being an advocate for them.”
